Curriculum Overview

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Elementary School Curriculum

A Catholic school education is the starting point on the path to a lifetime of accomplishment for your child. It is a sound investment in a valuable education, and an education in values. Catholic education is predicated on the premise that the education of a child is a partnership. Parents are welcomed and urged to become involved in their child's education.

A program of well-rounded educational opportunities is offered to the students. It includes all major subject areas of curriculum as well as Art, Computer Science, Library Science, Music, Physical Education, Chapter I reinforcement of Reading and Math, a program for the speech and hearing impaired, Guidance and enrichment in Christian Service. These programs combine both a group and individualized approach to instruction. Every effort is directed to the personal formation and growth of the individual.

The curriculum, programs and extra-curricular activities at Our Lady of Mount Carmel help broaden a student's interests, build confidence and teach self-discipline. Together we help children become the best they can be both inside and outside the classroom.

Specials

Art, Library, Music, Computer Science, Spanish and Physical Education classes are provided on a weekly basis. The Specials are an important part of the student's curriculum.
