After School
Program
Aftercare is offered for
students in grades K–6 every day after school until 5:30 pm except on days with
an Early Dismissal, when it will not be offered at all. Any other exceptions to
this will be publicized ahead of time.
At Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
School there is a qualified staff dedicated to serving the needs of parents and
children. The program builds spirit, fosters self-esteem and a sense of warmth
and belonging.
Procedures

Students assemble in the Kindergarten classroom after
dismissal.

If desired, a change of clothing is allowed by the
students.

Snacks are provided. You may send your own snack if you
prefer.

Activities are conducted until 4:00 p.m. Children may go
outside (weather permitting), go to the gym or stay in the classroom with toys
or games.

A supervised homework session begins shortly after 4:00
p.m. for those staying until 4:30 or later.
Although Aftercare is
offered on an as-needed basis, those families using it on a regular basis are
asked to fill out a registration form and return it. If you do not use
Aftercare regularly, please send a note with your child, or if really last
minute, call the school (610-588-2629) and inform them of your child’s needs for
afterschool care. Please state in your communication the day your child(ren)
will be participating in Aftercare and the approximate time you expect to pick
them up.
Fees

Registration Fee - $10.00 per family

Hourly Rate (attending 8 or more hours per week) - $3.00

Drop-In (should be paid at parent pick-up) - $3.50 per
hour

A minimum fee of $3.50
is charged for any part of the first hour.
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
Aftercare Program is a non-profit organization which meets all its operating
expenses through tuition payments. Our goal is to keep costs to a minimum and
maintain a quality program. Parents are responsible for tuition every week as
stated on the signed registration form/parent agreement.
